What is the effect of oversized tires on suspension system?

Own a Volvo 240 sedan, 1992 with over-sized tires (215-70-R14), it normally takes 185-70-R14's. What effect will this have on the suspension system (such as the bushings and tie rods) over time-- will it damage them?
