Do Canadians think U.S. credibility was damaged by Iraq War?
As a Canadian I am disgusted with that idiot Bush and lost any and all respect for the united states as a country and their people. The government is just a bunch of bullies playing high stake games for their own enjoyment. I gained a titch of respect when the below average IQ americans actually voted in Obama (who I do respect) but then I see all these ignorant americans going on about how they hate Obama and I am again put off by the grand scale ignorance. He is going to be the united states only saving grace, and the ignorant can not see that is beyond me. And even though my respect moved up a titch with the new president, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY are american "soldiers" still killing people in iraq? I mean, come on, what is that about? 9/11 killed around 3000 people and to date doented civilian deaths from violence in Iraq are 97,994 – 106,954, when the hell will the united states be even? Now I get these are not all civilians killed by american "soldiers" but what business does the united states even have being over there? The united states was barely respected before the "war", the country was kind of like a narcissistic person, a country with an overinflated idea of their own importance, and now, they are just a laughing stock of the world. The reality of what the united states is has become clear, sad. After university I went to Europe with a friend to do the typical back-packing tour many years ago. My friend had to remove the american flag from her pack because of the hate we were receiving because of it. My Canadian flag brought smiles and welcoming. I think the last years have shown that the united states is not as invincible as they once believed themselves to be. And they are certainly very shitty neighbours.
