Great doctorial dissertation topic for Filipino Americans?

I am currently on AbD (All but dissertation). I completed all Phd coursework 104 hours to be specific in Sociology, and ped the comprehensive examination and completed all 3 doctorial residency requirements. I am on Milestone 2 of my dissertation, which i need 2 more milestones to complete my doctorate degree. The first two milestones is just picking a topic, establishing a committee, completeing the IRB, etc. Conversely, I am leaning on changing my topic but I cant pick a right one that is concise, almost unknown, and reflective. What topic suits Filipino Americans for a dissertation. Thank you!
