Use of the indefinite article "AN" before words with letter M?

Well, you use the article an in front of the letter M itself. Such as, "lets look at words that begin with an 'M'. You use 'an' because the letter 'M' has a vowel sound at the beginning of it. It sounds like ehm with a soft 'eh' sound when you say the letter.
