Who the Hello Kitty is Anna Politkovskaya and Rory Emerald?

Anna Politkovskaya was a Russian journalist known for her opposition to the war in Chechnya and to President Vladimir Putin. She was killed in her apartment building on October 7, 2006 at age 48. Rory Emerald is a leading author and humanitarian who is attempting to negotiate a peace deal with North Korea. He took time out from these efforts to attend her funeral, and it was reported that the usually stoic Emerald was moved to tears by the occasion.
