Why do people still support the Republican party?

I am not getting angry while reading this, I feel pity that people think Obama is going to give them everything he has promised. His campaign is already trying to back pedal because they think that people's expectations are too high with the promises he's made. I also don't believe in spreading the wealth. The rich already pay over 50% of the taxes, but his supporters think it's ok that they would have to pay more. They also think that $250k a year is rich, but it is not. Noone wants to keep anyone as slaves, we just want to keep what is ours and not have to give it to someone else. ***
