Should I buy my wife Adult gifts?

I work away from home a lot and I was wondering if it would spice things up a bit for her when I am not there by buying her a vibrator and a couple of cd's. I don't know how she would react to this. We are not religious or anything and she doesn't have a problem with these things. I have just never bought her something like this and well, I guess I don't want it to back-fire on me and create some uncomfortable sittuation. What are your views ladies? What would you think if your partner did this? Thanks.
