He's getting really annoying?

Ok well this guy asked me out the beginnig of the last year and I said no. He just walked away a little dissapointed, well we actually became really good friends. I saw him with my friends at the mall and I talked to him and said that he was cute. He got a huge smile on his face and started saying how he loves me and wants to have kids and stuff. And I was like, "All as I said was that your cute". And he was like ok with a smile, and just walked off. Now he calls me everyday and is like, "remember when you told me I was cute?". And I always say yes, but sometimes I say no just to annoy him. And he wll higher his voice and be like, "Yes you did, I know you did, I even recorded it on a voice recorder, I'll prove it!". and I am just joking around with him. Now theres rumors that he's gonna ask me out again but I don't like him, I just tought he was cute. How come he's making such a big deal out of it.
